This has been done using a combination of photgraphy and digital manipulation, where they have got two photographs of similar shaped but completely different objects and combined them to make the final object.It has a simplistic look to it to focus attention on the centre image and typography were they have used a very light colour for the background to make the darker coloured forground stand out.
